Avi Bassrawi, 72, beloved husband of Peggy nee Black for 38 years; loving father of Sharon (Jeff) Baygood; adored Baba of Elliana and EJ; cherished son of Judith and the late Eli Bassrawi; dear brother of Sarah (the late Dr. Richard) Eisenstein. Proud veteran of the Israeli Defense Force Navy and Merchant Marines. There will be a celebration of Avi’s life, Thursday, 2 PM – 6 PM at Congregation Beth Judea, 5304 RFD, Long Grove. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) or Jewish National Fund (JNF).
